I have to say, when it comes to playing hot right out of the wrapper, Miken once again takes the cake. I hit two home runs with this bat the same day it arrived in the mail. Of course, this worries me a little bit because it is so good now, it might not last too long. However, Miken is known for their patented approaches to durability, so that is not a major concern on my radar. In fact, I’m pretty sure that my relationship with my “Nemesis” will just get better over time. I do have to warn you though, while the actual “pop” on the ball with this bat is pretty good, it has a really dull sound. In fact, at first I was pretty sure that something was wrong with it. I guess it’s just the design though, because the facts bear out that this is a powerhouse of a batting weapon. Particularly for me, since I have a little slower swing speed than is really considered “good,” the Nemesis added some much needed (and really quite surprising) distance to my hits.
