Miken Vicious Slow Pitch Bat Review

The Miken Vicious
The Miken Vicious ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat is an “old school” design that hides the latest in Miken’s groundbreaking research and batting technology. The Miken Vicious is made of 100 percent R900 Carbon fiber, meaning that you get 38.8 percent higher tensile strength than the industry standard carbon fiber and 40 percent higher elongation. This combination of carbon fibers also is the ultimate in durability and maximizes performance regardless of your level of play. This softball bat is also fitted with Miken’s Ballistic Cross-linked System for increased resilience upon impact and, according the manufacturer, “unmatched barrel rebound.” As with most bats of this caliber, Miken has also fitted the Vicious with an extended sweetspot design (ESD) to give the bat extra long barrel construction and maxed out force behind every swing. For a firm grip, the bat has X-Tack coating. This bat is approved for ASA, USSSA, NSA and ISA play.
Review Of The Miken Vicious Slow Pitch Bat
Frankly, this may be Miken’s best softball bat so far. This bat by far out-swings and out-powers other bats of a similar make and caliber. Especially if you want a bat that you can unwrap and start swinging, then the MIken Vicious is for you. Literally ten swings in I was powering balls all over the place, including one right over the fence. The graphics are also intended to impress, and I love the extended sweet spot which, unlike in many softball bats’ cases, is truly extended. This bat has great balance and I love practicing and competing with it. Just one note: if you tend to get out in front of the ball, then you need to be careful or the hit may come off a littler weird. However, this is easily resolved and once I figured out what was going on, I didn’t have any more trouble at all. I love this bat, and I’m eager to see what happens with it as I get a few more swings under my belt with it.

This bat was hot right out of the wrapper. First hit was a 300+ bomb. Needless to say I was a very happy camper. I love the black and the graphics. This is probably one of the best ASA approved bats I have ever used. Really glad I got it.
This thing kicks a**. A bit expensive but well worth it. I went ahead and spent the money because I heard ASA bats were going up in price because of the changes in rules and bat testing. Well, at least for me it was well worth the money. It was hot out the wrapper and I have never looked back.
I read a lot of conflicting reviews about this bat before I decided to buy it. There is a bit of a break in period . A bit more than with other slow pitch bats. But, really think this slow pitch bat is one of the best that i ahve ever used. I have been hittng more consistently since I started using it. Since I am not a power hitter looking to knock bombs out of the park. So, consistency and accuracy is key for me.
Hot bat. Its our gamer bat in all our tournys. Not a bomb hitting bat off the back. But a great base hitting bat. Easy to control when hitting. You can hit anywhere with this bat. Gamer bat, Team bat.
